Positively Africa
Therapeutic Touch International Inc. and positively AFRICA are co-operating on a fund raising venture. Together we aim to bring a home care worker to Pumpkin Hollow and Indralaya for both the Mentorship and Advanced Therapeutic Touch programs. Our target is $5000-$6000 per year or $2500-$3000 per individual. This would be sufficient funds for air fare and visa expenses. We also need to make arrangements for program registration fees, and accommodation at both sites. Our hope is that the latter can be accomplished by both a co-operative relationship with Pumpkin Hollow and Indralaya and selecting a willing host to pick the scholarship recipients up at nearest airports and bring them to the programs.
Below are a few suggestions for fund raising. Send us news of your ideas and successful events.
1) Write a personal cheque to Therapeutic Touch International Inc. and receive a US Tax receipt.
2) Host a dinner party and talk about the success of bringing Peninah Abitoni to Indralaya. Her 400 students are now providing Therapeutic Touch to over 4,000 isolated people in Rwanda.
3) If you have a private Therapeutic Touch practice, send the amount received from the first client of each month to Therapeutic Touch International Inc. and receive a US Tax receipt as well as good karma for your practice.
4) Sell produce from your garden to friends and neighbours for the benefit of the scholarship.
